How to verify any NMN
Don’t trust the label. Verify the batch.
Five questions to ask any NMN brand before you buy. If they can’t show the document, you can’t verify the claim. Here are our answers.
-
Question 1
Who made the raw material?
- Ask for
- A Certificate of Analysis for the NMN raw material, showing purity.
- Issued by
- The raw material manufacturer — not the brand.
Novera publishes itSee ours → -
Question 2
Where was it manufactured?
- Ask for
- The GMP certificate of the facility that made the capsules.
- Issued by
- An independent certification body (ours: JHNFA, Japan).
Novera publishes itSee ours → -
Question 3
Was the finished product tested?

- A finished product COA that names a specific lot number.
- Issued by

Novera publishes itSee ours → -
Question 4
Is it legally sold where it’s made?

Novera publishes itSee ours → -
Question 5
Can you match it to your bottle?
- Ask for
- A lot number on the box that leads to that lot’s documents.
- Issued by
- The brand — and it should be checkable by you.

Ask every brand for these five. We publish ours.
GMP certification and FDA facility registration apply to the manufacturing facility; the Certificate of Free Sale applies to the product. Lot-specific testing is shown in the finished product COA. FDA registration is a facility registration, not a product approval.
Questions
Before you buy. Straight answers.
Where do I find my Exp/Lot code?
It’s printed on the back of the box, next to the barcode — for example 04.2029/NV101. The first part is the expiration month and year; the second is the lot. Enter the full code on the Verify your batch page to see the documents for your bottle.
Are all the documents specific to my batch?
The finished product COA is lot-specific: it names the lot printed on your box. The raw material COA covers the BONTAC® β-NMN used for that production.
The GMP certification and the FDA registration apply to the manufacturing facility, and the Certificate of Free Sale applies to the product. Together they document each step of the chain.
What does the FDA registration mean?
It is a facility registration, not a product approval — the FDA does not approve dietary supplements. The facility that manufactures Novera — API Co., Ltd., Ikeda Plant, Japan — is registered with the U.S. FDA, and we show the certificate so you can read it yourself.
Who is BONTAC®?
BONTAC® is the manufacturer of the β-NMN raw material used in Novera. Its Certificate of Analysis for our raw material shows 99.9% purity — you can read it here.
How much NMN is in each serving?
Each capsule contains 500 mg of NMN. A serving is 2 capsules (1,000 mg), and each bottle has 60 capsules — 30,000 mg in total. Follow the directions on the label, and talk to your healthcare professional if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication or have a medical condition.
Can I get the documents by email?
Yes. On the Verify your batch page, enter your Exp/Lot code and choose to receive the documents for your batch by email.
